Confidentiality and Privacy

Sage Home Edit ensures complete confidentiality and discretion. We will never share your information with third parties without your consent. All organisers at Sage Home Edit have signed a confidentiality agreement. Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Sage Home Edit complies with all relevant legislation. By contracting with Sage Home Edit Ltd, you consent to the secure handling of your personal details, which will be used solely in connection with the services provided by Sage Home Edit.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that you or a Sage Home Edit organiser may need to reschedule a booked session. All rescheduled sessions must be completed within two months of the original time and date. There is no fee for rescheduling.

Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance will be fully refunded. If you cancel with less than three clear calendar days’ notice and do not wish to reschedule, you will be charged for the first three hours of work for each organiser assigned to your project. Products purchased on your behalf must be collected by you from our location in EastKilbride. We cannot reimburse you for products you are unable to collect after cancelling a session.

Cancellations made on the same calendar day as the booked session may not be refunded and will incur the full quoted amount. Cancellations of rescheduled sessions are not eligible for a refund.

Working Hours

Sage Home Edit always conducts an in-home consultation before booking a session. During this consultation, we will help you estimate how many hours you might need. However, accurate estimates are not always possible, and some projects may require more sessions or hours than initially anticipated due to various factors, as each project and client is unique.

A session typically lasts up to 3 hours. The session price is per organiser. If the session extends beyond 3 hours, you will be charged £50 per hour per organiser for the additional time. Sage Home Edit will inform you when the booked time is ending and seek your permission to continue if you wish.

During decluttering, Sage Home Edit will work at your pace, considering that decluttering can be physically and emotionally demanding. Breaks can be taken as needed, but please note that these breaks will count towards the session duration. If the session coincides with meal times (breakfast, lunch, or dinner), our organiser may take a break of up to half an hour, and you will not be charged for this time. This will be arranged before the session starts so you are aware of the timing.

Sage Home Edit organisers work Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Weekend, bank holiday, and after-hours sessions can be arranged.

 

Access

Please ensure there is adequate access both outside and inside your home. Sage Home Edit cannot move furniture due to health and safety reasons.

If the working area is deemed unsafe, Sage Home Edit reserves the right to cancel the session without a refund.

 

Best Advice

Decluttering involves deciding which of your possessions you wish to keep. You may decide to part with items you no longer need. The decision to keep or discard an item is entirely up to you. We provide guidance to help you determine what you need in your home. Advice is given in good faith, and it is always your decision whether or not to follow our suggestions. Sage Home Edit cannot be held responsible for the outcomes of such decisions and cannot be liable for any possessions or items that have been discarded.

Removal of Possessions

We encourage recycling or donating items to registered charities where possible. You may also choose to sell items you no longer need. Sage Home Edit does not offer valuation services or expertise in identifying items of special value or rarity. Disposal of possessions or items is your sole responsibility. Items to be removed from your premises, whether for disposal or relocation, must be at your discretion. Disposal will not occur without your authorisation. You are responsible for any items discarded during the decluttering process. Sage Home Edit can assist with disposal for a fee (e.g., removal to a local refuse tip or charity shop) if feasible, but you are responsible for removing larger items that cannot be easily carried. If you have more items than you can handle, Sage Home Edit can arrange for a hauler for an additional fee.

Photography

Sage Home Edit may take before and after photographs to document your organisation journey. These photographs are the property of Sage Home Edit Ltd and may be used to showcase our work and inspire others on our website and social media platforms. Photographs will be anonymised; clients cannot be identified unless we have your explicit permission.

Recommendations

Sage Home Edit may suggest additional products or services from third parties. While we strive to recommend high-quality options, we cannot accept responsibility or liability for any direct or consequential loss or damage resulting from these products or services.

Purchase and Return of Organisation Products

Sage Home Edit will source organisation products upon your approval. We charge a shopping fee, and products will be billed at their retail price. If you are dissatisfied with a product once installed, we will arrange for its return and provide a refund. Please note that returns are not possible after the organisation session or if the session is delayed, and we have stored products past the return window. Products requiring assembly cannot be returned once assembled, and no refund will be issued.

Product Assembly

Our organisers can assemble small organisation items. For larger items like furniture, we can arrange for a handyman to assist for an additional fee. Please note that assembled products cannot be returned or refunded.

 

Cleaning

Sage Home Edit does not provide cleaning services and therefore cannot assist with cleaning.

 

Travel Costs

All services include travel costs within Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Edinburgh and Surrounding areas. For services outside these zones, travel expenses and additional fees will apply, and will be pre-agreed before the session. Parking charges will also apply.

Payment Terms

Payment is required in advance of your session unless otherwise discussed. Sage Home Edit accepts payment by paypal, cash or direct via BACS using the bank details provided on your invoice.

Late payments will incur interest (at 8% above the Bank of England base rate) and debt recovery costs as per Late Payment legislation.

Sage Home Edit reserves the right to increase its rates at any time. Any sessions booked prior to a rate increase will remain unaffected by the change.

 

Dispute & Resolution

If you disagree with an invoice from Sage Home Edit Ltd, please email us within 7 calendar days. We will respond within 2 business days. Any invoice not disputed within 7 days will be considered valid and undisputed.

Sage Home Edit provides in-home services with care; however, we cannot be held liable for any direct or consequential loss or damage. It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate insurance for your possessions.

Sage Home Edit Ltd holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
